When Your Child Needs Immediate Dental Care

Dental emergencies can happen anytime, anywhere. Whether it’s a playground accident, a sports injury, or sudden tooth pain, Juni’s Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics is here to provide prompt, expert emergency care for children. Our experienced team understands that dental emergencies can be frightening for both children and parents, and we’re committed to providing calm, effective treatment when you need it most.

Common Pediatric Dental Emergencies

Knocked-Out Tooth

If a permanent tooth is completely knocked out, time is critical. Handle the tooth by the crown (not the root), rinse gently with water if dirty, and try to place it back in the socket. If that’s not possible, store it in milk or saliva and seek immediate care.

Chipped or Broken Tooth

Save any broken pieces and rinse your child’s mouth with warm water. Apply a cold compress to reduce swelling and call our office immediately.

Severe Toothache

Rinse with warm water and gently floss around the affected tooth to remove any trapped food. Never apply aspirin directly to the tooth or gums. Contact us for an emergency appointment.

Dental Trauma from Falls or Sports

Even if teeth appear undamaged, internal injury may have occurred. Any blow to the face or mouth should be evaluated promptly to prevent complications.
